A dedicated server is a physical machine that is allocated entirely to a single customer. This means the server’s full CPU, RAM, storage, and bandwidth are reserved exclusively for your use — no other website or application shares that same hardware. This is fundamentally different from shared hosting or a VPS (Virtual Private Server). In shared hosting, hundreds of websites run on a single server. In a VPS, a physical server is divided into multiple virtual servers through virtualization. With a dedicated server, there’s no dividing at all — the entire hardware belongs to you, top to bottom. Since there’s no hypervisor (virtualization layer) running on a dedicated server, you get direct control over every part of it — from the operating system to security configurations.
