Treyarch has recently unveiled exciting updates for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, promising the largest post-launch content drop in franchise history. This includes several new maps, weapons, and the highly anticipated return of classic Zombies content. With Season 1 fast approaching, here’s everything players can look forward to.
Preseason and Season 1 Highlights
Treyarch kicked off the preseason with a series of updates, including the Chaos Btown 247 mode, a mosh pit endurance game with extended time limits. The Tapes of Terror event is also live, offering players the fastest strategies to collect VHS tapes and earn rewards. As Black Ops 6 reaches its conclusion, this week marks the end of its era, making way for the exciting future of Black Ops 7.
Season 1 Content Drop
Treyarch’s big announcement revealed that Season 1 of Black Ops 7 will feature an unprecedented amount of new content, including seven 6v6 multiplayer maps, three new zombie maps, seven new and fan-favorite weapons, and holiday-themed limited-time modes (LTMs). Notably, Nuke Town 2025 will return on November 20th, offering a remastered version from Black Ops 2. Avoid the hassle of facing top-tier players by opting for a cheap CoD BO7 Bot Lobby, offering a legit alternative for a more relaxed gaming experience.
Additionally, players will enjoy three new 6v6 maps: Fate (set in a Menendez compound in Nicaragua, referencing the Black Ops 2 mission "Time and Fate"), Odysius (based on the Black Ops 2 mission of the same name), and Utopia (set in an abandoned research facility in Australia).
Treyarch also promised more multiplayer maps, with the likes of Standoff and Meltdown getting remastered and making a return. Players can also look forward to Vertigo and Gridlock, both of which are rumored to appear in future updates.
New Weapons and Game Modes
Season 1 will introduce seven new weapons, including fan-favorites like the Maddox assault rifle from Black Ops 4, as well as fun weapons like the Crossbow and Ballistic Knife. A new game mode, Sticks and Stones, will feature these weapons and will be released shortly after launch.
Treyarch has also confirmed new scorestreaks coming to multiplayer, with the Dead Eye Drone leading the way. This is just a taste of the many new features being added in the upcoming season.
Zombies Updates
For Zombies fans, Season 1 is bringing three new maps, including a round-based map that promises to be one of the most exciting and innovative Zombies experiences yet. The new content will feature seasonal field upgrades and ammo mods, including Lightning, Frost Blast, and Mr. Peeks, which were previously seen in Black Ops 6.
Players will also enjoy two new survival maps based on locations from Ashes of the Dam, with one set on a massive spaceship preparing for launch. Additionally, new limited-time modes (LTMs) will be added to the mix, keeping things fresh and engaging for the community.
DLC and More Content
Treyarch is already teasing DLC 1 content, with new maps and game modes planned for the first major update post-launch. Astra Malorum, a brand-new map, will debut in this DLC, along with additional survival maps set in locations that weren’t featured in the COD Next build. Fans are excited to see more of what Season 1 holds, and Treyarch is promising even more surprises as they continue to support the game.
With Black Ops 7 set to launch in just a few weeks, the excitement for Season 1 is building. Treyarch’s biggest content drop in franchise history is shaping up to be an unforgettable start to the game’s life cycle. Whether you're into multiplayer, Zombies, or special game modes, there’s something for everyone in this massive update. Get ready for a truly epic season ahead!
