Nobody really wakes up thinking, “today I might get arrested for murder” or “today I might get hit with a Domestic Violence Houston charge.” But here we are. It happens quicker than people expect. One argument, one call, one neighbor who “heard something,” and suddenly police are at your door.
And once they're there… things don't feel normal anymore. Not even close.
People think they can explain their way out of it. Talk it through. Fix the misunderstanding. But criminal cases don't really work like that. Especially not when we're talking about violence allegations or homicide investigations.
It's messy. Emotional. And honestly, pretty confusing if you've never dealt with the system before.
