In industrial manufacturing, plant managers are seeking extended oil drain intervals and superior varnish resistance to minimize equipment downtime and maintenance overhead. Hydroprocessed Group II and Group III base oils offer high viscosity indexes and oxidation stability, allowing industrial lubricants to operate reliably in high-temperature turbine systems, heavy hydraulic units, and compressor gearboxes.

As sustainability mandates intensify, re-refined base oils (RRBO) produced from recycled waste motor oils are gaining substantial market acceptance. Advanced re-refining facilities utilize vacuum distillation and hydrotreating to restore used lubricants back to virgin-quality Group II+ specifications, establishing a circular supply chain that reduces environmental contamination and conserves crude oil resources.
